Artist

Justina Vail Evans, MCC CHt

Justina is an English artist, author, and life coach living in the US.

Justina has had numerous careers. From 1980 to 2002 she was a successful model and actor, appearing in numerous magazines and commercials and starring in major studio feature films and television series. These include Seinfeld, X-Files, Highlander, and Jerry Maguire. In 2001 Justina won a Saturn Award for her lead role in television series ‘Seven Days’.

In 2002 Justina took a different path and became a transpersonal hypnotherapist (CHt) and grief specialist. She earned the prestigious master-level MCC designation (master certified coach), and in 2012 won the Hollywood Book Festival Award for her book “How to Be a Happy Actor in a Challenging Business”.

A Return to First Love

Having believed as a child that she would be a career artist, a 16-year old Justina left school to attend Canterbury College of Art. She lasted only one year there because a friend pushed her to start modeling in London. Justina was very reluctant but, low on cash, thought it might be a way to pay for her art supplies. However, life, as described above, repeatedly took her away from painting.

Fast-forward to the fall of 2020, and the Covid-19 lockdown, Justina decided it was time to return to her first love. She has since been focusing on creating a body of work.

The Artist's Inspiration

The artist’s work is inspired by a love of archaeology, architecture, mythology, metaphysics, psychology, and spirituality. She has a deep interest in depicting those who come into the world with a purpose to bring light to darkness and to elevate our human culture into a new era. The artist’s current series is named Bringers of the Dawn.

In late 2023 Justina’s painting, Ninmah, was a finalist in the prestigious Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize and her pieces She Held Us (unfinished) and The Seer were published in their magazine. Five of Justina’s most recent pieces are also featured in the 2024 book ‘Women Artists on the Rise’. See ‘Media‘ page.
